RM is leader and main lyricist of the world famous, genre defying, chat-topping and history making collective of artists called BTS. I say ‘collective of artists’ because individually, they are super talented but together, they are barrier breaking, super novas that you only get to experience once in a lifetime.
So to say this album was highly anticipated, would be an understatement. And as the leader of BTS, and as a singular wonderful artist, he delivers a brilliant piece of work that spans genres, sounds and vibes. Across 10 tracks that beautifully flow into one another, RM invites the listener on a journey in which memory and thoughts are shared and unpacked. Indigo feels like we’re getting to see pages of his diary, another opportunity to experience his unmatched skills as a poet, a rapper, a musician and producer. In the process, he harmoniously reconciles the different of himself - RM and Kim Namjoon - making you feel grateful that he took you along for the ride. To fully appreciate the album, listen to it in order, as the artist intended and you won’t be sorry.
