Good, but could be better

Since hearing the R&B styled lyrics of the The Scripts first debut album, they have decided to ditch the roots that made them who they are today and fall prey of industry trends and electronic sounds. When you look at the overall production of the album things look good and the songs written are in some ways actually pretty good. Danny O'Donoghue's vocals are on point once again with Mark & Glen creating an incredible two man back line. One thing to take note of is the absence of tact in the album, as they have become known for their social style writing and have possibly lost their real musical core. This is a concerning trend amongst all in the industry and one thing that is going to take long to reverse. On that note.
The band has stripped down and become very much a group of musicians trying very hard to break through that cursed US industry ceiling. To enter into the stratosphere with fellow Irish superstars & mentors U2. I am sceptical. This album may do it to a point, but I do believe this album could either make or break The Script. So from me... this is good but it could be much better.
